Help and Frequently Asked Questions
Which app should I download?
The supplied manual specifies Smart Life. Use the download link or QR code above. Wrenstead is your system brand; the app may identify the device as Smart Solar Hub or PV HUB.
Can I use the app with all three systems?
Yes. Store 1, Store 2 and Solar + Store 2 use the H1600 Smart Solar Hub and support app monitoring and manual scheduling. Screens depend on the connected equipment.
What if the hub does not appear?
Check that the system is powered and ready for pairing, then try Add Device and follow the network prompts. The manual describes holding the hub Reset button for more than 10 seconds to reset and reconnect it. Resetting removes the hub's app connection, so use this only when you intend to set it up again. Contact Wrenstead if unsure.
How do I remove a device?
In All Devices, press and hold the device, select it and tap Remove Device. Review and confirm the prompt only if you intend to unlink it. The confirmation label may differ between versions.
Can I change weekday and weekend schedules?
Yes. You can configure separate routines and adjust them when your household habits or electricity plan change. The system supports up to 10 configurable periods per day.
Does the app automatically find the cheapest electricity?
No. Set your preferred charging and energy-use periods manually using your own tariff information. Smart Mode with a compatible meter is not live-tariff optimisation.
Can I charge from the grid?
Yes. The H1600 supports AC/grid charging with the required compatible equipment and configuration. Confirm the charging controls for your installed system before setting a plan.
Does the app display pounds sterling?
Yes. GBP (£) monetary display is supported. It does not automatically import prices from your UK energy supplier.
How does battery heating work?
For the confirmed heating-equipped Wrenstead battery configuration, heating requires an external charging source. It starts below 5°C and stops at 10°C. The minimum charging temperature is 0°C; above 0°C charging can occur while heating continues towards 10°C. A heating indicator may be shown where supported. Contact Wrenstead if your supplied battery instructions differ.
