Wrenstead orders are fulfilled from our UK warehouse, with clear delivery, return and after-sales procedures for solar and battery storage equipment.
Because Wrenstead systems can include lithium batteries, solar panels and several separate system components, delivery and returns may require different handling from ordinary consumer parcels.
This page explains our standard delivery areas, estimated delivery times, damaged or faulty product procedures, authorised UK returns and change-of-mind returns.
UK Delivery Areas
Our standard delivery service currently covers Great Britain:
- England
- Wales
- Mainland Scotland
Scottish Highlands, islands and other extended-area postcodes can normally still be served, but additional delivery charges or longer transit times may apply.
Northern Ireland and other destinations requiring different shipping or compliance arrangements are not included within our standard Great Britain delivery terms and should be confirmed with Wrenstead before ordering.
Free Standard Delivery
Free Standard Delivery is available to most addresses in England, Wales and mainland Scotland for Wrenstead systems sold with standard delivery included.
Some Scottish Highlands, islands and other extended-area postcodes are considerably more expensive for carriers to serve. An additional delivery charge may therefore apply to these locations.
Where an additional delivery charge applies, it will be shown or confirmed before the order is completed.
Estimated Delivery Times
After your order has been dispatched from our UK warehouse, our normal estimated delivery windows are:
| Delivery Area | Estimated Delivery Time After Dispatch |
|---|---|
| England | Approximately 2–4 working days |
| Wales | Approximately 2–4 working days |
| Mainland Scotland | Approximately 2–5 working days |
| Scottish Highlands & Islands | Approximately 3–7 working days |
Working days normally mean Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.
These delivery windows are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
Delivery may occasionally take longer because of severe weather, public holidays, seasonal carrier volumes, transport disruption, remote-area access, carrier network delays or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Tracking information will be provided after dispatch where available.
Multi-Parcel Deliveries
Wrenstead systems may be delivered in more than one parcel.
This is because batteries, solar panels and electrical components are packed separately for safer transport and handling.
Depending on the system ordered, separate parcels may contain:
- L1024 battery modules
- H1600 Smart Solar Hub
- LS-800Mi microinverter
- Solar panels
- Accessories or other supplied components
Parcels belonging to the same order may occasionally arrive at different times.
If only part of your order has arrived, please check all available tracking information before reporting the shipment as incomplete.
Check Your Order When It Arrives
Please inspect the external packaging when your delivery arrives.
If a carton, solar panel package or battery package shows obvious signs of transport damage, please take clear photographs before disposing of any packaging.
Where possible, photograph:
- The complete external carton
- The shipping label
- Any crushed, punctured or visibly damaged areas
- The affected product
- Internal protective packaging where relevant
- The product model or serial-number label
Please contact Wrenstead Customer Support as soon as reasonably possible if you believe damage occurred during delivery.
Prompt reporting helps us investigate the shipment with the carrier and determine the appropriate solution.
This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
Faulty, Damaged or Abnormal Products
If a Wrenstead product appears faulty, damaged or does not operate as expected, please contact Wrenstead Customer Support before sending the equipment back.
Our first step is normally remote assessment so that we can identify the affected component and avoid unnecessary transport of equipment that is operating normally.
We may ask you to provide:
- Your order number
- Product model
- Serial number, where applicable
- Photographs of the product
- Video showing the reported issue
- App screenshots or error information
- Installation or connection information where relevant
- Photographs of the packaging where transport damage is suspected
This information helps us understand whether the issue may relate to:
- A product or manufacturing fault
- Damage during delivery
- Installation or configuration
- Incorrect connection
- Accidental physical damage
- Misuse
- Unauthorised modification
- Another identifiable cause
This assessment is intended to identify the most appropriate next step and does not reduce or remove any statutory consumer rights.
Authorised Return to Our UK Service Warehouse
If physical inspection is required, Wrenstead will provide return instructions and authorise the affected product for return to our UK service warehouse.
Please do not send equipment back without first receiving return instructions from Wrenstead.
This is particularly important for lithium battery products, which require appropriate transport arrangements.
UK Warehouse Inspection & Diagnostics
Once an authorised return reaches our UK warehouse, the product may undergo inspection and diagnostic testing appropriate to the reported issue.
Visual Inspection
The inspection may include checks of:
- External product condition
- Housing and casing
- Connectors
- Labels
- Accessories
- Original packaging
- Signs of impact or physical damage
- Other visible abnormalities
Battery Functional Testing
Where appropriate, battery equipment may undergo functional checks including:
- Basic operating checks
- Charging and discharging tests
- AC-related testing where applicable
- DC-related testing where applicable
- Review of the reported symptoms
- Initial fault diagnosis
If a returned battery does not contain sufficient charge for testing, it may be charged sufficiently to allow diagnostic work to continue.
Electronic Component Testing
For products such as the H1600 Smart Solar Hub or LS-800Mi microinverter, inspection may include:
- External inspection
- Functional testing
- Connection testing
- Operating-behaviour checks
- Relevant diagnostic data collection where available
The exact testing procedure will depend on the product and the reported problem.
What Happens After Inspection?
After inspection, Wrenstead will determine the appropriate next step based on the fault, inspection findings and the consumer rights that apply.
1. No Product Fault Identified
If no product fault is identified, we may provide further troubleshooting, configuration or installation guidance.
2. Repairable Product Fault
Where appropriate, an authorised repair may be carried out.
Depending on the product and issue, this may include software or firmware work, replacement of appropriate serviceable components, replacement of accessories or other authorised repair work.
3. Replacement
If an eligible product fault is confirmed and replacement is the appropriate remedy, Wrenstead may arrange replacement of the affected component or product.
4. Refund or Other Statutory Remedy
Where UK consumer law gives the customer a right to reject the goods, receive a refund or receive another statutory remedy, Wrenstead will honour those rights.
5. Transport Damage
Where qualifying transport damage is confirmed, Wrenstead will arrange an appropriate return, replacement or other applicable remedy.
6. Customer-Caused Damage
If inspection indicates that the issue was caused by accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modification, incorrect handling or another cause arising after delivery rather than an inherent product fault, free repair or replacement may not apply.
Where practical, Wrenstead may offer a paid repair or replacement option.
Repair Quality Check
Where equipment has been repaired, our UK service warehouse may carry out further checks before the product is released.
Depending on the repair, this may include:
- Confirmation of completed repair work
- Functional re-testing
- Product-condition inspection
- Cleaning where appropriate
- Photographic documentation
- Video documentation where appropriate
Only Return the Affected Component
Wrenstead systems contain several separate components.
If only one component has a problem, you will normally not be asked to return the entire system unless our support team specifically determines that this is necessary.
For example, we may request only:
- One affected L1024 battery carton
- The H1600 Smart Solar Hub
- The LS-800Mi microinverter
- An affected solar panel or solar-panel carton
- Another specific affected component
This approach reduces unnecessary transport, allows inspection to begin more quickly and avoids moving equipment that is operating normally.
Return Shipping for Confirmed Faults
Where Wrenstead confirms that an authorised return relates to a qualifying product or manufacturing fault, or qualifying damage that occurred during delivery, Wrenstead will cover the reasonable approved return transport cost to our UK warehouse.
Where replacement is the agreed remedy, Wrenstead will also cover the standard delivery cost of sending the replacement product to the customer.
Please use the return method arranged or authorised by Wrenstead rather than booking an independent courier.
Important: Lithium Battery Returns
Lithium batteries require specific transport and handling arrangements.
Do not send an L1024 battery or other lithium battery equipment through an unauthorised postal or courier service.
Please contact Wrenstead Customer Support first.
If a battery needs to be returned, Wrenstead will provide or arrange an appropriate return method.
Transport Damage
If a product appears to have been damaged during transport, we may request photographs of:
- The outer carton
- Internal packaging
- The affected product
- The shipping label
- The damaged area
This information helps distinguish carrier damage from a product fault or damage that occurred after delivery.
Where qualifying transport damage is confirmed, Wrenstead will normally cover the approved return transport and the standard delivery cost of the agreed replacement.
Customer-Caused Damage
Free faulty-product repair or replacement arrangements do not normally apply where the issue results from:
- Impact or dropping
- Incorrect handling
- Operation outside permitted product conditions
- Incorrect or unauthorised installation
- Unauthorised dismantling
- Unauthorised modification
- Misuse
- Other customer-caused damage after delivery
If repair is possible, Wrenstead may offer a paid service. Any proposed paid repair and applicable charge will be explained before work is authorised.
This section does not affect statutory rights relating to goods that were faulty, damaged or not as described when supplied.
Change-of-Mind Returns
For eligible products purchased online, consumers normally have the right to tell us that they wish to cancel the purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods.
After notifying Wrenstead of the cancellation, the goods should normally be returned within a further 14 days.
Please contact Wrenstead before returning solar or battery-storage equipment.
For a change-of-mind return:
- The product should be returned with the supplied components and accessories.
- The product may be handled only to the extent reasonably necessary to inspect it in the way that would normally be possible in a physical shop.
- Excessive handling, installation, use or damage may result in an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.
- Lithium batteries must use an approved return method.
Change-of-Mind Return Transport
Where the product is not faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied and the return is simply because the customer has changed their mind, the customer will normally be responsible for the direct cost of the approved return transport.
Wrenstead solar and battery systems can contain lithium batteries, oversized solar panels and several separate parcels. They should therefore not be returned using an ordinary postal service without prior agreement.
Please contact Wrenstead first so that we can confirm:
- Which products or parcels need to be returned
- The appropriate carrier or transport method
- The expected return transport cost
- The UK return warehouse instructions
Faulty Goods and Your UK Consumer Rights
Change-of-mind cancellation rights are separate from your legal rights when goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not meet the requirements of UK consumer law.
Depending on the circumstances and timing, UK consumers may have rights including rejection and refund, repair, replacement, price reduction or another statutory remedy.
Wrenstead's diagnostic and after-sales process is designed to identify the problem and provide an appropriate solution. It does not replace or restrict those statutory rights.
Incorrect Item Received
If you receive a product different from the product shown on your order confirmation, please contact Wrenstead Customer Support.
Where Wrenstead supplied the incorrect product, we will arrange the appropriate return and replacement at no additional standard delivery cost to you.
Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will normally be made to the original payment method.
For eligible distance-selling cancellations, refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable UK consumer rules after the returned goods, or acceptable evidence of their return, has been received.
Where the customer paid for standard delivery, the standard outbound delivery charge will be refunded where required by law. Any additional amount paid for a more expensive delivery service does not necessarily have to be refunded beyond the standard-delivery amount.
After Wrenstead has issued a refund, the time required for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank, card issuer or payment provider.
Before Returning Anything
Please contact Wrenstead Customer Support before returning solar panels, battery modules, an H1600 Smart Solar Hub, an LS-800Mi microinverter or other Wrenstead equipment.
Please provide:
- Your order number
- Your name
- Your delivery postcode
- The affected product
- Model and serial number where available
- A description of the issue or reason for return
- Photos or video where relevant
- Packaging photographs where transport damage is suspected
We will then advise you of the appropriate next step.
Please do not send products directly to the warehouse without return authorisation.
